By the help of Mocha, Thinking Pinoy and the Netizens, the kids who put their life in risk everyday just to go in their school in the rural area of Iligan City catches the attention of DPWH.

Blogger Thinking Pinoy shared a very wonderful news in his blog.

According to him, DPWH vows to build bridge in Iligan after seeing the viral video of kids who crossed the river using improvised bridge.

The kids used that improvised bridge everyday just to go to school.

Mocha Uson uploaded the video on Facebook and after Secretary Mark Villar watched the video, he asked his staff to reach Mocha Uson and Thinking Pinoy to share that DPWH is planning to build a bridge for the students of the rural areas of Iligan City in Mindanao.

The conversation of Thinking Pinoy and Sec. Villar’s media officer Anna Mae Llmanetillo was written in his website.

Llamentillo said they will construct a hanging bridge on December and a more durable bridge by next year.

Albuera police chief inspector, Jovie Espenido, claimed that actor and Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez wants him to have killed due to a personal antipathy.
<br /><br />
According to the police official, Gomez has been holding a grudge against him even before the affidavit of Mayor Espinosa.
<br /><br />
He also pointed out why Espinosa’s alleged thugs, Galo Bobares, Max Miro, and Brian Zalvadar retracted their statements and accused Espenido and another female police officer of revising their original affidavits.
<br /><br />
Espinosa said that the three men gave their statements to their lawyers but were not detained afterward. However, in the interview, the Albuera police chief added that he was aware that the retraction of statements was caused by the fear of their lives.
<br /><br />
"Wala akong capacity na maghawak, magpapakain ng witnesses... Iyung takot ng mga tao hindi ko mapigilan. Kung sa akin nga, they are easy to threaten ba, magsabi na papatayin, sila pa kaya na mga civilian," he said.

On the other side, Richard Gomez finds the accusations against him utterly ridiculous.

Gomez denied any connections with the Espinosa drug group. He also filed charges against the policemen who reported that his name was mentioned in an Espinosa case conference about the politicians involved with the drug trade.

As part of the military modernization project, defense and military officials have trooped to Israel to personally oversee how the Israeli missile system works.

According to MaxDefense Philippines, the live-fire demonstration was participated by Israel Military Industries (IMI) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)-ELTA which occurred in an unannounced location in Israel.<br />

The said live-firing was to demonstrate Israeli firms’ offer for Philippine Army’s Shore Based Missile System (SBMS) acquisition project, MaxDefense said.<br />
<br />

“Among those demonstrated were the IMI Lynx mobile launching system, the EXTRA, Accular, and Predator Hawk guided rocket systems, and smart ammunition for the 155mm howitzers, which are offered to the AFP as well,” MaxDefense said.<br />

Many public figures have expressed their disappointment when <b>President Rodrigo Duterte</b> approved the burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr.<br />

<b>Vice President Leni Robredo</b> was one of those who spoke against this decision and as a result, many citizens questioned her loyalty.<br />
<br />
<b>Rigoberto Tiglao</b>, a former diplomat and now a journalist, called out the Vice President, Leni Robredo, and asked the President that she be relieved of her position from the cabinet. In a Facebook post, Tiglao said that Robredo should not be openly disputing and opposing the decisions of the President, as it causes friction among citizens.<br />
<br />
“If Robredo doesn't agree with such a major policy move of Duterte's, she should immediately resign from his administration, i.e., leave her posts. She cannot have her cake and eat it too,” Tiglao wrote on his Facebook post.<br />
<br />
Vice President Leni Robredo was appointed as chairperson of the <b>Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC)</b> by the President after the elections last May 2016.<br />
<br />
Through her office’s website, Robredo described the Marcoses as  "[thieves] in the night." Adding that "the Marcos family deliberately hid the information of burying former President Marcos from the Filipino people.”<br />
<br />
Robredo also noted that the Supreme Court ruling that was handed down last November 8 was not yet final for execution.<br />

It was actually President Corazon Aquino and Fidel V. Ramos who signed the law dictating who gets to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.  And under the law, late president Ferdinand Marcos is eligible to be interred there.
<br /><br />
An article by the website Thinking Pinoy explained how Marcos, whose recent burial at the Heroes' Cemetery has been heavily criticized, is acceptable in Philippine law.
<br /><br />
The editorial piece debunked the arguments of Vice President Leni Robredo who claimed that Marcos committed crimes, and his family stole massive wealth from the country.
The "Armed Forces of the Philippines Regulations G 161-373, subject: Allocation of Cemetery Plots at the LNMB issued on 1986 under AFP Chief Fidel Ramos and President Corazon Aquino states that there are ten categories for deceased persons to be entitled to a burial at the LNMB.
<br /><br />
These are Medal of Valor Awardee, Presidents, Commander-in-Chiefs, Secretaries of National Defense, Chiefs of Staffs, Generals of the AFP, Active and retired military personnel of the AFP, Former AFP members who laterally entered/joined the PNP and the PCG, Veterans, Gov't dignitaries, Statesmen, National Artists, widows of former presidents, Secreatries of National Defense, and Chief of Staffs.
<br /><br />
Those to be disqualified are persons dishonorably separated/reverted or discharged from service, and authorized personnel who were convicted by final judgment of an offense involving moral turpitude.
<br /><br />
Marcos qualifies for five of these categories and is not eligible for disqualification because his crimes were never tried in court. 
<br /><br />
He is therefore, under rule of law, presumed innocent to this date.
<br /><br />
The article said that if there is anyone to blame for the burial, it should be the Aquinos and the Liberal Party who did nothing to revise the regulations to prevent Marcos' burial there.

Senator Richard Gordon believed that Cabinet members who opposed President Duterte in his position on the burial of Late dictator Ferdinand Marcos should resign from their positions.

“Resign from your post if your conscience isn’t on the same side as President Rodrigo Duterte.” Richard Gordon said during a radio interview Sunday.
<br /><br />
He believes that a Cabinet member should be on the side with the President and if she or he can’t agree with Duterte’s decisions anymore, she or he should resign.
<br /><br />
“Kung ikaw ay cabinet member you have to side with the president kung hindi mo na kaya na mag-side sa pangulo at ng prinsipyo mo, you resign,”
<br /><br />
Gordon criticised the members of Duterte Cabinet who always opposed the decision of the President, Gordon expected that if the relationship of Duterte and the Cabinet members goes bitter, the President may kick her or him out.
<br /><br />
“Yun ang mangyayari kasi you are the President, cabinet kasama kayo, kapag ikaw ay kokontra at hindi na kayo magka-igihan ng president you resign or the president fires you,” Gordon said without mentioning any names from Duterte cabinet.
<br /><br />
Some Cabinet members of President Duterte including Vice President Leni Robredo opposed the surprise burial of Former dictator Ferdinand Marcos in the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

When the interviewer asked Gordon if he was referring to the Vice President, the Senator refused to answer.
<br /><br />
Gordon urged the politicians to follow their conscience if they cannot agree with the President’s decision.

Vice President Leni Robredo is the first Cabinet member of President Duterte who opposed the burial of Marcos in the Libingan ng mga Bayani. She described the burial of the late dictator as “thief in the night”.

Former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile believes that the late President Ferdinand Marcos deserves to be buried at Libingan ng mga Bayani.<br /><br />When asked Enrile if Marcos is a hero, he said Marcos medal of honor is enough proof that he should be buried at LNMB.<br /><br />"Why not? He was given a medal of honor and it's not a fake medal. Some people say, Boni Gillego says that he had fake medals. But of all the medals that he received, I don't think all are fake. </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">One medal of honor is enough for you to be buried in that piece of land,</span><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">" Enrile said.</span><br />

President Rodrigo Duterte demanded resignations of Energy Regulatory Commission(ERC) officials after he got reports of alleged corruption in the agency.

During a press conference in Lima, Peru, the President expressed his anger to the commissioners of Energy Regulatory Commission after he received intelligence reports about anomalies in the ERC, including having too many consultants;how it’s officials deals with contracts and questionable appointments.
<br /><br />
Duterte also said that cases would be filed against the unnamed ERC officials allegedly involved in corruption.
<br /><br />
If the officials refused to resign, President Duterte will ask the lower house to withhold budget or abolish ERC and form another agency.
<br /><br />
Last week, ERC bids & awards chair Francisco Villar, Jr committed suicide after being allegedly pressured by his superiors to approve contracts of procurements and hiring consultants without proper bidding and procedures.
<br /><br />
The President already directed the authorities to probe the death of Villar Jr.
<br /><br />
Last week, the consumer group Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas urged President Duterte to look into the Nov. 9 suicide of the ERC executive, believing that it could be linked to corruptions in the agency tasked with regulating power distribution utilities.

Fr. Ranhilio Callangan Aquino, dean of San Beda College of Law and Chairman of the Department of Jurisprudence and Legal Philosophy at Philippine Judicial Academy, Supreme Court, wrote for The Standard saying that he was in fear of what was happening at the moment as protesters gathered at the EDSA monument and all around Manila to protest the recent burial of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
<br /><br />
"It is not the crowds that frighten me, because, truth to tell, they do not make that remarkable a throng. It is not even the possibility of an upheaval that may send the government packing that worries me" he wrote.
<br /><br />
He said the Duterte government is far too powerful to be ousted and that Bong bong Marcos has a large following too, judging from the election results.
<br /><br />
"What I am frightened about is the virulence of the rage that the protests have made manifest. It is one thing to deliver a very strong speech, articulating one’s arguments against the burial — but it is really quite another thing to incite the desecration of a grave, or even to move for the exhumation of the remains of one already buried." he said.
<br /><br />
The priest reiterated that the burial was legal. He said Ted Te, spokesperson of the Court said that no motion for reconsideration has been filed.
<br /><br />
He said just because Marcos declared martial law does not mean that he didn't deserve the burial.
<br /><br />
"The Constitution of 1935 allowed him to and, unlike the Constitution of 1987, did not lay down parameters for the execution of martial law. In fact, it is not correct to say “never again”, for where circumstances demand it, the President must use the powers given him by the Constitution to defend the Republic."

He said it was not fair to say that Marcos is the culprit behind every summary execution, every act of torture, every incident of unlawful disappearance.

He said there  were no facts supporting the claims.

He also defended why the family kept the burial secret.

"Families are entitled to determine the manner their loved ones are interred, are they not? Of course announcing the funeral ahead of time would have given Marcos opponents ample time to plan and strategize the sabotaging of the event — much like an irate Roman mob threw the body of Pope Pius IX into the Tiber during the Funeral Procession.'

He said it would have pleased the Marcos haters.

He said the anger of the protesters was frightening.

"That kind of anger that does not flinch at conscripting school children to mouth invectives to which they utterly cannot relate, or that passes to millennials one version of the story as the authorized and canonical version, or that condemns to the fires of damnation when one should be praying for the salvation of all — that is the anger that frightens me because it corrodes the spirit of the nation" he wrote

He said Aquino had an “undying hatred of the Marcos past” as well as an “unreasoning fear of a Marcos future”, at the same time he claims that Ferdinand Marcos’ term was the “golden age” when the country was respected everywhere in the globe.

He claims the “real value” of Martial Law has been forgotten by Aquino who froths in the mouth upon mere consideration of a Marcos win.
<br /><br />
Tatad claims the war is a continuation of that which the men’s fathers started, and that Aquino’s hatred is because of the things that transpired leading to, and following the death of Ninoy.

In his entire time as senator, he only authored one law (which his chief of staff claims to have drafted for him), and the rest were mere anti-Marcos plots and speeches, one exposing the national security project for Sabah which made the country lose “a paramount national interest”. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">-In 1969, he gathered communists to rebel against the government. When these rebels came knocking on the Palace, Martial Law was declared. The oligarchy condemned Marcos. The Aquinos were backing them.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">-Aquino was believed to have been involved in the bombing of the Liberal Party rally at Plaza Miranda yet blamed Marcos for it. Incidentally, while his colleagues were there, Aquino wasn’t at the scene. Years later then Senate President Jovito Salonga said “Ninoy had something to do with it.”</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">-Ninoy was warned not to come home by then Defense Secretary Juan Ponce Enrile because of a Security threat, Aquino went anyway and was shot at the airport now named after him. Cory, his wife did not even bother to have the death investigated and immediately blamed Marcos for it. Aquino became a hero from then on.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">-When Cory became president, she wiped off all of Marcos’ marks in the government, including beneficial programs, the almost complete Bataan Nuclear Powerplant and the entire the nation’s energy program. She spent almost a trillion building flyovers all over the country in six years as compared to the 600 billion Marcos spent in twenty.</span></li>

Tatad says that maybe in his six unproductive years in the presidency, he realized no son of a former president should go near it again.

Aquino made it a bigger priority that there be a Marcos loss compared to a Roxas win.
<br /><br />

Out of all the senators who ran for VP, Marcos was the only one who was not tarred for receiving payment for the impeachment of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

Tatad claims Aquino knew that manipulating the VP races would be easier for him. He had done it successfully.
<br /><br />

Tatad also claims that the Aquinos, whose treason began from Nonoy’s grandfather’s collaboration with the Japanese in the Pacific war, should be exposed.

So the world could see what they really are “permanently”.
